Ortho-Bionomy®is an osteopathically-based form of bodywork therapy that was developed in 1976 by the British osteopath Dr. Arthur Pauls. This holistic and pain-free technique is very effective in working with chronic stress, injuries and pain associated with postural and structural imbalances.
An Ortho-Bionomy practitioner uses gentle movements and positions the body to change stress and pain patterns. A strong focus is placed on the comfort of the individual and no forceful manipulations are utilized.
This gentle system of bodywork is quite effective in helping to alleviate acute and chronic pain, as well as stress patterns by reducing muscle tension, soothing the joints, increasing flexibility, improving circulation and relaxing the entire body.
Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle, non-invasive, system of healing that reminds the body of its natural ability to restore balance. It is based on a simple and profound philosophy: allow the body to correct itself. The hallmark of Ortho-Bionomy is pain relief.
Ortho-Bionomy is a soft and gentle “Hands–On” Osteopathic Manual Therapy
Ortho-Bionomy is generally combined with other Osteopathic Manual Therapies.
