Introduction to Electrical Brain & Body Connection

Nina Joy Rizzo, LMT, CST, OMT, IET,

Registered Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy

This class will give you an electrical and new perspective on the Body/Mind. In the first part of this class, you will learn the very basics on how to listen into the body with your hands, to perceive lesion chains or lines of tension, which actually create the pain we feel in our bodies. The second part of this class, you will learn to palpate and "hear" the subtle electrical signals conducted from the brain (which is your hard drive), to the individual organs in the body, thus, helping to increase, resynchronize, and, reconnect any signals that may have been lost, aberrant or disconnected.

This is NOT an Ortho-Bionomy Class but this work follows the principals and zero force is used. However, this is a great course for Ortho-Bionomists to take! As OB'rs, we are trained to really "listen" to what we perceive in our hands and track in the body. That "listening" skill is what will be taught and emphasized with more specificity and understanding of what you're doing when you're doing it. This is also a great class for Cranio-Sacral therapists to add to and hone in on your already listening skills. If you are a Reiki or Energy Workers of any sort, you will LOVE this class, too! Join us in March!

Introduction to Manual Diagnostics & Assessments - Brain to Organ Mapping

Did you know, when we feel pain it usually doesn’t come from the area that is hurting.  Because we are programmed for survival, our body must adapt to impacts of many kinds. These adaptations create lines of tensions, internally, vectoring in many directions as they continue their protective holding patterns. Over time, we run out of space. This is when we begin to feel pain.

As practitioners, working directly with a client’s “area’ of pain often times leaves us empty handed with the client still hurting. What if we could track the pain to its origination? What if we could take the “guesswork” out of assisting clients?  Because of the immense proprioception in our hands, we are naturally equipped with the ability to detect many things. With knowledge, practice and fine tuning, you too can become skilled using manual assessments. Chances are, you have been hearing many things throughout your practice but don’t know what they may be. With this class you will start to put words to what you are listening too and also better understand the anatomy involved. Imagine the confidence you will gain knowing what you are listening too plus have a way to locate the origin and then assist to release the holding pattern without having to guess?

This class will teach you how to begin your mapping and inhibition skills. You will start to “listen” into the body, follow the tissues and inhibit areas to find out where an origination may be coming from.

You will also learn an intro to brain mapping.  Everything in the body can be accessed from the brain. Knowing where things are located in the brain will give you the skills to confirm the findings of your newly found mapping skills.

Becoming more familiar with the different locations in the brain and their specific connections to the organs you will then learn and how to synchronize them with each other, electrically and energetically.

These types of listening skills are developed over time so shy wait any longer.  Learn to listen to with your hands and interpret what they are saying with more clarity and understanding. These skills will enhance your practice and boost your confidence while allowing you to tune in to a much more refined and skillful way of working.

After many requests, we are now offering this beginning class which will teach you how to unveil these skills within yourself and then begin to work with them.

Observation Sessions

This will give you the opportunity to observe how a session looks when it is put together in real life. Students are encouraged to bring a notepad to takes notes and ask questions afterwards.

Luc and Nina will work together with a client on the table.  From beginning to end, you will see a real life session, uninterrupted. You will see diagnostics, listening skills and inhibition skills along with treatment while they move through the different systems which start to show themselves through protective holding patterns. It is unpredicted and spontaneous.

Because we are programmed to survive, holding patterns have been created in each one of us, and differently. Due to the complexity, interconnectivity and specificity of the human body, these holding patterns are established in layers of protection. As practitioner’s, where do we begin?

This is what we hope to help you discover. Being able to hear these layers of protection within the systems, and when they show up, is the essence of this class. Having a solid starting point and then being able to track the changes as they move through the body are of immense value. You will see the How’s and Why’s, in this observation session.

This observation session is truly a great opportunity for all students because Luc is at his best when he is in his flow. In tandem, Luc and Nina create a symbiotic dance of the masculine and feminine energy together, dialoging with each other and the client as they traverse the systems as protective patterns show up and change. They analyze, listen, discuss, and inquire while moving with the pace of the client’s body as changes are being made. This offers the student an in-depth understanding anatomically and visually of what is going on for both the practitioners and client.

Q & A Intern Sessions

This will be a great opportunity for students to participate in an actual session as it happening. Palpate, ask questions and really get more of a hands-on feel and idea of the how’s and why’s. The details are similar to the Observation Sessions, except Intern sessions allow the students to be involved with the session while it’s unfolding, as well as with Luc, Nina and when appropriate, the client.

Once you’ve had the chance to practice what you’ve learned, you can come back to this forum with questions and input based on what you’ve experienced. Maybe you’re stuck, maybe you need a quick review on something that will assist you with a client? Bring those and any other questions to this forum and we will be happy to help you in any way we can!

We are offering this to you because when you get back to your practice and start integrating these skills, you are going to have questions. We are passionate about what we do and we want to be able to continue to help you as you refine your skills in your own practice.

Because things can be complicated and at times unexplainable when we interface with clients, we want to create the opportunity for an ongoing communication and forum type mentoring and study group to assist you and help you develop into the best practitioner you can possibly be.
